QNET celebrates its 20th anniversary through a partnership with City Football Language School.
As part of our ongoing 20th anniversary celebrations and in sync with our commitment to contribute towards the communities we live in, in a meaningful way, we are excited to be able to send 20 children from around the world for an opportunity of a lifetime; a two-week long camp at the City Football Language School at Manchester City’s Etihad campus in Manchester, UK!
The school has designed a program to teach children the English language while improving their skills and abilities as footballers, at one of the best sports training facilities in the world. The course includes 30 hours of football and 30 hours of English language training, as well as weekend excursions, behind the scenes tours of the Etihad Stadium and experiences of life as a professional footballer.
“I am proud to be selected from amongst hundreds of children from Indonesia to join City Football & Language School in Manchester, England. QNET gave me the opportunity to develop my capabilities through professional training from world-class trainers, and interact with many other talented players from different countries. I had never imaged this would happen. It’s a dream come true” said Dimas who lives in Rusunawa Pulogebang, East Jakarta.
Gabriel, who lives in Rusunawa Flamboyan, West Jakarta, shared his experience in practicing discipline. “We were really taught about discipline. Starting from waking up to returning to the night all have been scheduled and we must follow the rules. Professional football players start from the discipline that is maintained and perseverance in practicing football,” he said.
“After two decades of success, we wanted to give something to the future generation as a company. So, to celebrate our 20th anniversary we decided that sending 20 young budding footballers to the fantastic City Football Language School would be an excellent and exemplary way to exhibit all that QNET believes in and stands for. This exercise would raise them by helping improve their English and football skills, and their love for the game, which in turn will assist them to raise others when they go back to their countries,” said QNET CEO Trevor Kuna.
